As I get more and more comfortable with not knowing exactly where my life is going, I start to feel a sense of peace within myself. It's not that I am not in control of my life, my Soul is. I have surrendered to the still small voice in my head. I know that sounds like a psycho ward patient's confession. But actually, it's a place where your following your inner wisdom to get you to your best life. My heart was who told me to resign last year. And now my life is full of joy and excitement for the future.

 I had cracked open the notion of who I am. I had let go of the identity I had created for myself. Let go of the notion of needing my life to look a particular way. And by doing that, I had opened up to be able to say yes when my inner guidance was telling me to make major changes in my life.

 Had I been addicted to my identity, or to my life looking a particular way, then I couldn't have made such big changes in my life. By letting go of who I THOUGHT I was, i opened up to the grander view of my life my Soul was trying to lead me to. And it had a MUCH BETTER idea of what my life should be.

 I am writing this totally excited for my future. I am dreaming of what my life can look like and taking the steps to allow it to happen. I know my life will be incredible. Beyond anything I could have imagined for my life. And it is centered on relationships. With friends and family, with my community, with those people I am intended to work with, and to humanity as a whole. This open hearted approach to all my relationships have moved me to a sense of fulfillment with everyone I meet. A sense of connecting with them, as just who they are right now. When we witness each other, and the life we are living, we are walking the sacred path.

 The headlines are cracking more and more people open. They don't have much choice. The more they hold on to the old ways of doing things, the more they tend to struggle. Waiting for the next event to force you to change is the recipe for struggle. Awakening to your life passions, and empowering yourself to proactive go for it, shifts the experience into a place of tremendous growth. A sense of following the path of your best life now.

  Now that we have a new leader in the White House, It just feels different. I watched as millions of people were celebrating the new changes in our government. Putting the man himself aside, the elation I saw on peoples faces were fresh and new. And this was at a government function. The times they are a changing.

 It's been about 10 months since I resigned from my career in broadcast television. It was clear as a bell, when my heart told me to leave. even though it was a bumpy and at times, very difficult road, I am so happy to have rode it out. It really feels like my Soul had some house cleaning to do. And that house cleaning was to get me to let go. Let go of the fear I had rooted deep inside myself. Let go of what I was thinking my life would look like. Let go of what I thought would bring me the most happiness and joy. Let go of what I thought were my best talents to frame my new life around. Let go of the scale I was thinking my life would be operating at.

 Now my Soul feels like it's driving my life now. I feel moved to help others with what I have learned and experienced in my life journey. My heart is open. And it doesn't close now. It feels strong and sure. It knows more about what's going on in my life than I do. So I just listen, trust and take the actions it tells me to. Since I have started doing that, I have found my life opening up. Opening up on many fronts. My acceptance of others is unconditional. I remember when I couldn't see my truth, and was posturing with everything and everyone in my life. My heart has attached itself to my words. I find I will tell the truth, with total disregard to the consequences. Even if it SEEMS like I'm digging a hole, it never seems to materialize. I keep moving into more and more grace in my life. What I really get excited about turns out to be my best path. As I follow this excitement, I get fed a stream of new ideas and opportunities that keep my life expanding.  So I just let go. I threw the reins down on the galloping horses.

 By surrendering my tight grip on what I thought was my best life, I have discovered a life beyond what I could imagine for myself. Turns out my Soul is a much better dreamer of my future. And it knows how to get there. It has the map, and isn't afraid to use it either. And probably folds it right the first time. ;-).

 Wow. How good can you stand it? Just let go.Quit any need to try to manage your life, and just follow that inner guidance. The more you do, and the more you trust, the easier it gets.

 May you find and live in your power. May you dream a wonderful life, and then live it.

What did you say? no... really, what DID you say? A whole day went by yesterday. hours and hours of thoughts spoken and unspoken. What we think and say is the foundry of our life's experiences tomorrow. When we don't tend to your thoughts, we tend to repeat the past.

Our word is our wand. The beginning of anything we create in our life, starts in our thoughts. So what DID you say? What are you creating? What did you vote for in your future? How much of it was based in worrying about what might happen? Literally voting for it in worry and grief?

 The more words we speak, the less each one means. Getting clear about what you are thinking and saying is a goldmine for making effective changes in your life. Mastering your thoughts is a requirement for mastering your life. Without exception. That is why meditation will change your life. By becoming aware of all your thoughts, you start to see an underlying dialog related to what your struggling with. When you worry about the future, your creating thoughts about what you don't want to happen. Whatever you think about, you put energy into.

 This new year is bringing incredible changes into our life. We are needing to shift our position in our own life to move into harmony with this new way of living. To reach that harmony, our thoughts need to be in harmony with our new intentions. I recommend the no-thought type of meditation. Stopping ALL your thoughts. When we go to do that, all our thoughts are revealed. And they need to be revealed if we are going to change them.

 Another aspect of our thoughts is HOW we are thinking. The structure of our sentences. The structure determines how we are executing our life. For myself, I was raised blue-collar. Nothing wrong with that at all. But, now I want to execute a bigger vision for my life. If I keep my old style of thinking running along without my awareness, I will have a difficult time executing on a whole new level. I have reprogrammed the structure of my thoughts to embrace an abundant mindset.

So there's the BIG Self. This can be thought of as Soul or Higher Self. And there's our little self. This can be thought of as our ego or our identity. We find our self here on this planet. We are awakening to the notion that our life has a purpose. Or we are feeling the urge to start doing something that we are feeling much more motivated to do. Perhaps our job, that at one time was so fun and exciting, just isn't cutting it anymore, is becoming more and more difficult to hold. Maybe we have had to take on new responsibilities without significant compensation. Perhaps we are working longer hours and our income really hasn't changed, so we are actually working for less money. The spark that had made that career is long gone.

When we think about what our life looks like, there's one thing that keeps returning to our thoughts. And the more we think about it, the more it feels like a panther pacing back and forth inside of us, anxious to get out and get to work.

Many of us are feeling this way lately. Many people are making significant changes in their life. Changes they were never trained for. Changes they never saw coming. When we start to understand the desires of our BIG Self, there' s this deep connected feeling within us that knows this is what we need to be doing. The changes we are experiencing inside our self is actually the next revolution. There was the industrial revolution, the technology revolution and the next revolution is the Spiritual revolution.

 In the past, most all of us had created our income with alliances with big corporations. There was the agreement that if we dedicated 30 years of our life, we could live a comfortable life. All our upbringing was preparing us for this life path.  But take a look around. That model is struggling at best. It will no longer be able to be trusted. Many people have lost their retirement. What we have done in the past has no guarantees that it will support us in the future.

 The yearnings of our Soul is about making a difference in the world. We are being guided to engage a whole new life path. Our new desires are based around making a meaningful difference in life. Perhaps it's around living green, or alternative energy. Or perhaps it's about providing new ways to heal our selves. Or a grass roots effort to unite and work together. Our Souls are not wanting to wait. We are feeling the urge to take action NOW. Our Soul does not know any limitations. Our Soul thinks in a scale that we have never known in our own personal life. Our Soul knows how to REALLY make a difference.

However, it can not execute in our life any bigger that we, our little selfs can think and do. Our Soul HAS to execute through us, as us. So in order for our Soul to have the free reign to execute at it's fullest capacity, we have to stretch the notion of who we think we are in order to allow our Soul the freedom to REALLY make a difference.

 This is what I do. I work with the little self, you, to stretch the sense of who you are, to allow your Soul to execute through you without any little self limitations.    2009 has been the buzzz of late. Everyone is talking about the changes that are before us. I too think 2009 is going to be a most incredible year. Mostly due to the thousands, if not millions, of people that will move into their own truth.

  The truth of who they (you) are. It seems like the collapse of the institutions of our society are creating a huge void that is being filled up oh so quickly by millions of people who are starting to completely own their life. They are done blaming anything or anyone else. They have accepted the world, just as it is. And they are re-awakening from a place of compassion for their fellow man. From a place of service to others, they are committing their life to helping others find their own truth.

 The universe is a curious thing. When we let go of any particular expectation from our actions, we move into a place of unlimited potential. By following our hearts and embracing the healing of the human condition, we are opening our self up to a experience with the universe that was only found in the shadows just a few years back.

 As this new generation of Souls engage their life purpose, we will see the direction of humanity take a huge shift towards a loving, compassionate society. This new consciousness will bring a platform of abundance to this new society. More like opulence. Abundance in every arena of life.

 As we release and heal the scars of the past, our future will open up like never before. The human potential will manifest at a level never seen before. The rate of change towards our good will defy all estimates.

 As this movement grows, there will be much more energy flowing through society. And each individual will have a choice. They will either embrace and engage the change, or resist and "suffer" through the changes. The more they resist, the more difficulties they will experience in their life.

 I suggest making 2009 a season of release and surrender. To let go of all posturing with life. To heal the heart and growth the personal sense of empowerment. Our Soul can only do what our ego's can allow to happen. Let go of any need for approval. Let go of a need to be seen in any particular way. Open up the channels of expression in your life. Start allowing your Spirit more and more opportunities to engage others and make a difference in your life and the life of others. When you have a notion that supports others, take action. When you feel the need to effect change, do it. Join groups in your neighborhood that are doing it now. Be your highest Self now.

 2009 will be incredible. And so will the ages to follow.

 May we all find our truth and express our true power.
